Since you can’t actually play a Jovian character, I didn’t bother to find out anything more about them when I first started playing EVE. But now I am starting a new game and I’d like to know if there are plans for Jovians to be like other races. And what’s the story behind their isolation?

I don’t think you’ll ever be able to play a Jovian. They are designed that way – they are eons ahead of anyone else when it comes to technology and civilization. Allowing Jovians to become a playable race would destroy the mystery surrounding them. Still, they are a troubled nation now, due to that Jovian disease which is a kind of a psychological disease but no one exactly know what is it and why does it only affects the Jovians.
