Eve Online Trouble with connection

Iâ€™ve heard a lot of good things about this game and since Iâ€™ve also read that it can be played even if you have a 56k modem connection, I decided to open an account. The trouble is that I keep on getting disconnected randomly during the game. Is this the usual way it goes with modems?

I used to have the same trouble with EVE while I had an internal modem. Then Iâ€™ve read it somewhere that internal modems arenâ€™t any good when it comes to online games. And so I bought an external one and I havenâ€™t had any problems since. If that doesnâ€™t help you, I suppose something might be wrong with your ISP.
