I have stopped playing EVE about a year ago because I somehow grew bored by it. But recently I’ve read a bit about this new expansion and there were some things that made me want to start playing again. I’ve seen that something called invention is being implemented and it can be used on ships too. Could anyone give me some more details on this?

I’m not sure if Invention alone should be the reason for you to return to playing EVE. If you grew bored by it before, it will happen again because nothing crucial hasn’t been changed.
