I want to know what the death penalty for noobs in Eve Online are. I just started to play this great game, and I need to know what would happen if I die. One way or another, I cannot find that information on the internet. I am not the passionate player, like many others so I do not know everything about computer or gaming. I can only hope that someone of you will help me with this.

I am also playing Eve Online, but the thing is that so far I did not die. It seems that I can play this game, and I never came across any death penalty. I have heard that there are several penalties, but none of them is very hard. If you lose your life in the game, your character will lose certain amount of experience points. There are several more, but I just cannot recall what they are. I think that the game is not harsh regarding the death, so you can play the game with as smallest amount of worries as possible.

Penalty is the same no longer how long you have been playing. When your ship is blown up you lose that. (Less any insurance payoff) and if you are podded you will lose any implants. As long as you keep your clone up to date that is all. However if you do no update your clone I believe you also lose skill points although I have never dies without an up to date clone so not 100% sure how that works.

If you are blown up, you lose your ship and will enter your pod.
When you get back to the station, you'll be given another rookie ship.
If you had upgraded your ship, you'll get a small amount of ISK.
If you has insured that new ship, you'll get your insurance payout.
If after blowing up your ship, the person destroys your pod also, you then do die...
You will lose any implants that your clone had.
If you have a clone, your skills will be saved and you will be placed back in the space station where your clone is stored.
If you don't have a clone, you die.
If you don't have a clone that is of a level capable of holding all your skills, you will lose skills down to the level of the clone you have.
