I want to know what the death penalty in Eve Online are. I just started to play this great game, and I need to know what would happen if I die. One way or another, I cannot find that information on the internet. I am not the passionate player, like many others so I do not know everything about computer or gaming. I can only hope that someone of you will help me with this.

I am also playing Eve Online, but the thing is that so far I did not die. It seems that I can play this game, and I never came across any death penalty. I have heard that there are several penalties, but none of them is very hard. If you lose your life in the game, your character will lose certain amount of experience points. There are several more, but I just cannot recall what they are. I think that the game is not harsh regarding the death, so you can play the game with as smallest amount of worries as possible.

well in EVE your toon builds SkillPoints "SPs" by real life training time on or off line....you have to purchase a clone that covers however many SPs you have...see when you loose a ship your character didnt die just the ship....if somone kills your pod then you die and go back to the station you have your clone set to...I think if you go to the EVE-online main site it has all the rules on it about the game ..also the forums there have TONS of info on every issue...just be ready to read alot hehe

Death penalty is pretty serious. You lose your ship and all the items equipped, as well as your implants and skill points if your clone is not up to date. You get some money back from insurance and if you can get back to the place you died quickly, you can recover some items.

Yeap it's pretty serious. Remember to allways have you ship inssured and your clone up to date. Allso dont make it a habit to go out to low sec. I've been living there the past several years and it's getting way to populated now.
