I just had dinner with this British guy I used to work with. It was one of those things where you forget why you disliked someone after a while and then upon seeing them think, "ooooohhhhhh...yeah." Anyway, he made me realize the arrogance of Europeans. He just came back from spending 2 months in Europe. Here's a synopsis of his arrogance.
-He claimed that America is in shambles because nobody can find work (he's been out of a job for months). Rather than be confrontational, I said "Well, unemployment is down to 6% from 6.4%. I'm sure it'll get better." He exclaimed that's not the case and that America is hemorrhaging several hundred thousand jobs a month and that I was wrong. OK. I held back from pointing out the fact that he's overweight, dissheveled, poorly dressed and obnoxious and maybe that's the reason he can't find a job.
-His food wasn't good enough, even though I bought him dinner. He complained about how his ribs would be so much better if they were baby back. Then he proceeded to tell me how he lost 20 pounds in Britain eating pastries stuffed with heavy cream and that in America you just get fatter. OK. Now just the fact that I bought him dinner should keep him from complaining, but I guess Europeans are just ungrateful as a people.
-On one of the televisions, CNN was showing the Michael Jackson nonsense. He yells at the top of his lungs, "Jesus Christ this is ridiculous!" Keep in mind we're in the Bible belt and there are people sitting all around us, so it's completely disrespectful. He didn't stop there. He said, "This isn't real news! That's why if I want REAL news I have to read a newspaper from a different country!" This was just ridiculous because Britain is filled with sensational tabloid "journalism.' I told him to lighten up.
Granted most Europeans I meet seem pleasant, he was a good example of what's wrong with Europe. They are an arrogant group of people with a corrupt media which they blindly follow. They are arrogant enough to believe that heavy cream in America is more fattening here than there. They blame their personal problems on their government. They are brash and unsophisticated. Worst of all...they don't know it.
I'm content knowing that Europe is practically committing suicide. Their socialist, defenseless policies are weakening them to the point of oblivion. I'm also happy to know that America will be around long after Europe falls.

but the point is.. He's probably like Europe's Paden... dont stereotype based on one idiot.. and the problem is that the idiots are usually the ones that yell their opinions  Stereotyping many people based on that rude and arrogant man is just a display of your own ignorance...

i agree some of them are, but you could also put it vice versa and say the same about Americans. The entire paragraph goes for Americans as well 
We're all f*****g people, some of us are idiots, some are ignorant, some geniuses, some exceptionally polite.. no matter where the hell in the world you are from. There arent necessarily more idiots in one country than another- and i dont mean idiot as in uneducated...

The point is he's the embodiment of Europe's attitudes (as represented by their own press) of America. European culture is seriously f****d. The worst part about them is their seemingly sincere belief of superiority. They are weak has-beens. Their combined military strength is less than 1/3 of ours. They are culturally devoid, historically ignorant, unbathed, unproductive s***s. Their intentions are as bad as Afghan terrorists, only they lack the capability of pulling off a 9/11. Their declining civilization won't see the end of this century because they will self-destruct under a self-indulged orgy of intellectual malaise. Unfortauntely...America will be their to bail them out.

The majority of Britons are glad to be allies with America and see the relationship as extremely important and beneficial to both nations albeit with a few minor disagreements such as tarriffs on European steel(which includes the UK at present) but with any hope this will be solved very soon. It's the minority that speak the loudest at the moment and the British media eats it up in spades because there is f**k all else going on in the country at the moment apart from the usual rubbish that happens every week(some government spin doctoring, a royal scandal, crisis in the middle east, etc etc etc). It is safe to say that this guy you ate dinner with is in the minority
Europe's ultimate problem as a collective at the moment is one of incompatibility, not to mention the fact that the French Government has always tries to throw spanners into the works at every single turn, hence the current fiasco which is the common agricultural policy and the Eurofighter Typhoon which the French held up for years then p****d off to design their own next-generation fighter plane.
Funnily enough the one good thing the French did imo but that they never admitted as far as I can recall was the sinking of the Rainbow Warrior. How about that for counter-ecoterrorism!

I don't think those in the US who are even aware of the steel tariffs support them. Bush caved to special interest pressure, but nobody wants them except the ailing steel industry. They'll be reversed, soon. Especially now that the WTO found them illegal.

f**k that. I'm half Brazilian and even have a Brazilian passport (implying citizenship). I grew up in different countries and say that America is the best of them because, based on first-hand experience....it is. Other countries also resent America because they recognize its superiority. It's kind of like the rebellious girl who sits at the back of the class making fun of the popular girls but secretly she wants to be one.
