That's my point. You will be a state. A member of a larger country. America's culture is relatively homogenous throughout the country. That is why I can refer to Europe as "Europe" and not Germany, France, Belgium, etc. You are becoming a part of a whole. A homogenized culture.

I'm fairly certain I'd move out of town if I lived in a dry one. I'll never understand that.

NWS, you really need to get a f*****g grip. You are getting worse every day. You have NO f*****g clue what the EU is all about. The way you make it sound, its like the Colluseum in Rome is gonna get burned down or some shit. And if you check out how the f*****g EU system works before coming here, each country has an amount of "votes" for every f*****g new thing that is tried at being "passed". Its not like one country is sitting there deciding everything/anything, you stupid c**t.

Not one country...one federal government. Sure those officials will be elected, but by Europe as a whole. This is how Europe becomes homogenized. You think the EU Socialist government is going to allow Norway to keep all its oil money? lol

scrotum wrote:
And where the hell do you get the "once you lose your currency, its the end" attitude? you are a big joke. you have nothing to support this, just stupid shit coming out of a pos. There isn't one negative thing about having one "big" currency in Europe, not one. After all, its a step closer to what the world wants. I think you look at the EU thing as more of a threat. Hence you acting like its the end of Europe. The Euro is a competitor for the dollar. so you automatically diss it.

I didn't say end, you illiterate f**k. I said beginning. Currency is a large part of a nation's culture. You lost it. That's your first step. I agree that economically the originally conceived EU was a good idea for you folks because you can collectively bargain with the US. But the concept has changed from an economic union to a political one. We here in the US understand what's going on because we went through the same thing between 1776 and 1787. Way to be 200 years behind!

scrotum wrote:
And freedom of speech? you crack me the f**k up you stupidass. Hell, we are more free in our speech than the U.S is already, and its not about to change.

lol. Really? Is it illegal to teach your dog a Nazi salute in Norway (It isn't in the US)? I don't know if it is or not, but it soon will be because Germany will make sure of that.

scrotum wrote:
Concentrate on getting your "States" "United" then you can come tell us the recipe. Your "States" are about as Un-United as you can get. Wtf were you guys thinking when everyone made their own laws for this and that? thats not being united at all. wtf?? Example? oh, ok:

One state you can drink alcohol at 18, one 21. then you have "some" cities that are "dry" where you have to drive way the f**k out of town to get a drink. f**k that.

"United States" implies a unity of separate entities, d*****s. States have their own laws which are guaranteed by our constitution...but not yours. BTW, there are no states where you can drink when you're 18.

Another ? oki

Taxes. Sales tax, property tax, insurance, all that shit. Its all DIFFERENT from state to state. WHY???? WHY NWS?? Why not run a country like a country ?

Fix your shit first, then whine and b***h about Europe you sad f**k.

lol...how is that even broken? States in America have a degree of legal soverignty guarnteed in our constitution. The EU does not have that provision. Funny now that you mention it. States have more sovereignty than your former-nation will under the EU. It's good to be American.

actually... i bet if you did that i could find several grounds to sue you on...

nws... give it up.. please.. all you do is make Americans look bad. Stop even trying to defend America.. you just make the rest of us seem intolerant, ignorant and stupid.

I've said it before.. i love America- but there's a difference between having pride in your country and hating everyone else.

Yes, currency is a part of the culture...but I would'nt even come close to calling it a large part as you want it to be. I couldnt care less if the paper in my pocket was a different color.

Is this freedom of speech? of course we can do that. I bet anyone in the whole world can cept Germany. well, ok...is that the best you can come up with? LOL Anyways, here we can curse on public TV, radio, while all your *bleep* gets *bleeped* to *bleep*ing death. how *bleep*ing free is that? I can also tell my King to *bleep* off if I want without getting into trouble. what's with the *bleeps* anyways? whats the thinking behind that?

Say it isn't so.... LOL ! Now THAT is sad.
So they allow you to be "adult" enough to drive a car at 16, be even more of an adult at 18, and let you decide the fate of the country by letting you vote? But heaven forbid, you sure as hell cant go drink a beer??????????????????? I dont know whether to laugh or to cry? I think I'll laugh

I want you to tell us all how the *bleep* you came to that conclusion, because this is the most *bleep*ed up thing you've ever written.

That wasnt your question. YOu asked for grounds to sue....emtional damages are grounds to sue. You are right there is no law saying that it is illeagel to teach your dog a nazi salute, but just because there is no law doesnt mean I can not sue you for doing it.

A German Field Marshal in WWII, (Manstein to be exact) taught his dog to give the Nazi salute as a joke (he despised the Nazis).

Just thought that was an interesting tidbit.

Uh..yeah, you are selling out. Sure if your culture is defined as chocolate then I'm sure you can rest easy. With countries like France defining how many hours a week you work, though, your siestas might be in danger. Is that really how limited your culture is? Damn...America is culture-rich!

Siesta is held in Spain and Italy, due to the heat during the day, has nothing to do with the French and their lux-lunchbreaks. Trying to say we have a very limited culture, that's retarded, even for you. There is no selling out involved, to become "one", there has to be a general guidance, even you can see that.

You're in the middle of eliminating your national government for a stronger position in economic bargaining. You don't think that's selling out??

Dude, we're not eliminating our national government. Like Canada, Germany etc we're divided in provinces, each province has it's own system, with a federal organ to cover the whole. The EU will simply take the place of our federal organ in some specific tasks, and unite them with the rest of the EU countries.

Losing our monarchy might be a loss of culture, but then again, the monarchy is false, the king has no power what-so-ever, so what are we losing?

Yes, you're selling out over culture. I think you're starting to catch on. And if you think that you will retain sovereignty, you're worse off than I thought. You are being assimilated into a country. You will be like what Rhose Island is to the United States, only your state rights are not guaranteed by the EU constitution.

lol...so naive. The US tried a confederacy over 200 years ago. It took 11 years, but we discovered that it doesn't work. Let's see...that gives you until about 2013, right? But we are dealing with eurotrash, here, so we better make it 20 years. Your constitution has already alloted for a federal president. That was an element of centralized power not even considered many years ago when the EU was initially drafted. Read your pending constitution if you don't believe me. I can see that you haven't.

NWS the concept of the federal/state relationship was the biggest hang up of the Constitutional Convention as I'm sure you're aware of, you shouldn't just discount the EU's natural evolutionary teething problems as them being idiots.

for your own sake(so you wont make an ass of yourself more than you already have) , here is a f*****g read. its the front page on the official EU website. now read carefully you dirty w***e:

"The European Union (EU) is a family of democratic European countries, committed to working together for peace and prosperity. It is not a State intended to replace existing states, but it is more than any other international organisation. The EU is, in fact, unique. Its Member States have set up common institutions to which they delegate some of their sovereignty so that decisions on specific matters of joint interest can be made democratically at European level. "

http://europa.eu.int/abc/index_en.htm

if you read closer, you will find out you have been wrong all along about your "theories".

Yes, you're selling out over culture. I think you're starting to catch on. And if you think that you will retain sovereignty, you're worse off than I thought. You are being assimilated into a country. You will be like what Rhose Island is to the United States, only your state rights are not guaranteed by the EU constitution.
I'm not catching on at all... What you call selling out, is just evident for me. And Sir, what European constitution? If you have it, please show me

You don't even know they've drafted a constitution??? Shocked

for your own sake(so you wont make an ass of yourself more than you already have) , here is a f*****g read. its the front page on the official EU website. now read carefully you dirty w***e:

"The European Union (EU) is a family of democratic European countries, committed to working together for peace and prosperity. It is not a State intended to replace existing states, but it is more than any other international organisation. The EU is, in fact, unique. Its Member States have set up common institutions to which they delegate some of their sovereignty so that decisions on specific matters of joint interest can be made democratically at European level. "

http://europa.eu.int/abc/index_en.htm

if you read closer, you will find out you have been wrong all along about your "theories".

lol...sucker. You're just eating it up, too, aren't you?
