The eurotrash should be proud! The pinnacle of their military technology is able to defeat a 25 year old American airplane that is soon to be phased out.

For a project 10 years late and $8bn over budget, it is a welcome piece of good news.

Not bad only overbudget and 10 years late to beat our Vietnam era weaponry.

They talk about the F-15 as if it's our top of the line fighter, when I'm pretty sure most agree it's the Hornet.

The F-15E is the "latest and greatest", I guess its said to be our only plane that can accelerate vertically or something like that. Also read that it has never lost a dogfight.

But yeah, should be proud that they can knock out a 25 year old aircraft frame Rolling Eyes

And the F-15 is a 35 year old design, not 25: History of the F-15 Eagle

We also have the F-35 and F-22 in development which are 'current generation' to the Eurofighter.

at any rate, No military is the sum of 1 weapon but how its parts work together as a whole to accomplish the mission. There are no stars.

Pride, and maybe some arrogance thrown in will make that happen Smile

Not always a bad thing.

The F-15 that flies today is 25 years old. They were fighting a 25 year old upgraded airplane, not a 35 year old test model.
