Nope, I don't 100% agree with GW Bush, however I do believe that he is trying to do the right thing. His problem is that he has more of a bull in a china shop demeanor than a diplomatic approach to events. 9/11 certainly has made him more bold than he might have been without that event occuring, and you can thank Al Qaeda for that.
All in all, I think he makes good decisions, and his bad ones are amplified (like all presidents) by the other political party. Would you trade GWB for Al Gore on 9/11? I wouldn't, in a million years.

At the school I graduated we have a fuckwad liberal teacher. He's a complete Christian whackjob who refused to buy his family a f*****g telephone for some reason.
When we went in and removed the Taliban, some of my football players came to practice telling how this nut told the students that "Bush is an idiot. We have no right to go over there and do anything in Afghanistan. I hope everyone of those soldiers that goes over there gets killed."
I had half a f*****g mind to drive down to the school and pummel the b*****d. A few people complained to the school board but they're so pussified they refused to do anything because it might be seen as "persecuting him for his views".

Manuva, you have to realize that he can think whatever he god damn well pleases, and no, you cannot force him to think differently. Do not kid yourself that you have the power to change how anyone thinks, or you would be worse then they are.
I think I would trade Bush for Gore in this presidential term. Gore would have brought reasoning and intelligent thought to the presidency. Lets also not forget that the majority of the public vote favored Gore. However, our system is our system and it elected Bush. Not my call there.

Bush isn't participating in this debate, fuckwit. Therefore the quote your confused, dribbling mind is trying to belittle as Ad hominem is nothing of the sort.
I swear, you f*****g retards are regressing, becoming dumber by the day.

Yes, he can think whatever he god damn well pleases. But his job is to f*****g educate students according to the Ohio Education Association guidelines, not to politically influence students, nor to tell them that every soldier who goes overseas to do his duty deserves to die. They wouldn't tolerate that man telling his students that the Jewish faith is a farse and that Christianity is the only true salvation, how is that any different?

You have to be kidding me. The same man that claims that he "invented the Internet" would bring "intelligent thought" to the presidency? Gore would quickly see our economy and military go down the shit tube to save an acre of grass in Kansas, a few trees in Tennesee and maybe a chipmunk in Rhode Island.

it was law school that I did not finish when I decided I would rather kill myself than become a lawyer - that is not all that unusual, many people choose not to finish graduate school in whatever field they mistakenly pursue subsequent to college

Yes, I know all about the need for Americans to do a degree just to get up to the educational standards of an 18 year old European before they do a proper degree. You dropped out of the course that *matters*. Failure.

A for your aguments, not worth the time or effort to dissect them, but yes socialism IS a priori a bad thing, and Europe is much further down the road than America is - the Reagan revolution helped pull us back off that course. As Hayek said, most freedom in life all springs from basic economic freedom - the freedom to choose your own employment and decide what to do with your own income, and that is much greater in the US than any socialist leaning European nation, despite the best efforts of the Clintons and other liberals. |
It's hugely ironic but Ronald Reagan was behind the *largest* increase in United States government spending since the 1930s. That, poor failure retard, is an implementation of socialism.

They should rename the Department of Defense to the Department of War as it was originally created. Much more fitting now even.
And Manuva, it's not like I agree with what the guy was saying but you have to just like, realize you can't go bashing people up because they are retarded and think dumb things, unfortunately.

Frax, I was in NROTC at UIUC while I was there - I left the school so I left the program I was pretty much just your run of the mill 17 year old then, my intentions are to either join the ROTC program at another 4 year school when I get to that stage (hopefully a few months) or enlist after I graduate from a university and then possibly go for OCS or something, I don't really know. However service in one branch or another is something that I know I will achieve at some point in my life. Assuming I don't f**k it up, going career military would be something that I wouldn't mind either.
A lot of my buds from NROTC went Marine option - they would be graduating just about now in fact; I was class of 2003. Fresh 2nd LT's for the grinder in Iraq. :/.

Eddy my landrover is making a noise under the hood. My degree only allows me to buy them, not work on them. Maybe something you are suited to?
