Distance to throw is max 30 yards I think and the area-of-effect is about as big as a kodo calf.

range (AE range that is) is usually a three yard radius on grenades, not sure on dynamite.

Okay. 30 yard range. 3 yard blast radius. nifty, and thanks! How much do they cost to make?

5yd radius on bombs
might be longer range too not sure (Higher skill for 2yd more radius and less dmg doesnt seem right to me, comparing iron grenades and big iron bombs)
Just hit 35 today so I can train over 225, ill tell you on the mith bombs.

They're cheap to make if you do mining also. At least the low level ones are. I jump around skills and classes a lot.

explosive sheep>bombs
insta cast auto targets nearest enemy, altho their damage(135-165) isnt as high as most of the bombs, they are on dif timers so you can use both.
bombs are pretty cheap to make since they come out in batchs of like 2-4.also on bombs you need to look at the disorient duration, some bombs do less damage but diso longer, or have a larger AE.

I guess what i'm more interested in is the initial attack range on'em. Seein as how i'll be playin a paladin, i'm curious on the viability of these providing some sorta ranged attack. Not mucha nd mainly for show, but I'm still curious.

no they arent going to be a decent ranged attack.. they will pull mobs to you if thats what you want but you wont be killing anything with grenades.

for ranged attack they are not good since they have a decent cooldown(1 min i think).they also take time to throw(spell casting bar), so if your target moves your gonna miss.
they make for some ae agro in groups
decent extra "stun/diso" attack if you already have one(i used to gouge with my rogue, toss a bomb, then backstab)but that was back when bombs stunned dunno how it would work now.
if your aim is good you can stop runners with them, but again its tricky since if they move they gain distance cause you missed.

i think the bombs just daze now... for a paladin you net-o-matic is the reason to take engineering.

net o matic is the "key" reason u go engineering... it throws a net that roots a person in place... and that root doesnt break
if it fails... it nets u and reels u in to that person... not so bad a prospect if ur a melee
goblin jumper cables, death ray , shrink ray , battle chicken , dragons arent bad either =)

It's all about the Land Mines in the newbie contested zones.
Head to southshore if you're alliance, and run towards Silverpine forest, to the right there will be a small farm of alliance NPC's that Horde need to kill for a quest. Mine up the corn field and the surrounding area's and you've got some easy kills comming your way.
It's evil, I know, but it's funny as all hell to watch a group run through a minefield and not survive. It's almost as funny as watching NE newbs try to run through the wetlands, the ultimate spectator sport.
