i prefer amp or monster or lost to about everything. northern california has rockstar on tap in most bars.

5 years ago, my husband and I (we weren't married then) went to Paris and Amsterdam, both for 11 days. We're going back to Paris next summer.
I'm drinking a low carb monster right now....it's pretty good....I prefer the taste of regular, but it's worth being able to eat some sort of carbs during the rest of the day, you know?

You could spend months in the Lourve alone and not see everything in there! Despite all I've heard about rude French people and it being a dirty city....people were friendly as long as you tried to speak french to them, saying hello THEN asking if they speak english....and the city was not dirty ~ It was gorgeous. Just don't order any sausage.

the people are just making fun of you in french and smiling is all. i dont eat pork, so the sausage thing never comes up, but the louvre is totally doable in a day if you know how to do it. If you're under 26 its free after 6 pm i believe on friday nights, which is what i usually do when im bored. id go then, scope out what you wanna do, then go back in the morning. and just remember, just because people are nice in paris doesnt mean theyre not going to f**k you over. and dont ever p**s off the grandmas.

I never had a problem with grammas, but I did get followed by some hot french guy 3 blocks from the cemetary where Jim Morrison is buried back to the subway. He kept pointing at his cell phone. Like me with a video camera and my man with a regular camera shouldn't have tipped him off that we were from out of town.
A lot of people , like in the hotel would see my last name (VERY french) and just start talking french to me. A couple of them said I look french too...whatever that means...I saw a lot of different people there, so I dunno.

Best acting energy drink I've ever tried. Made by a sports nutrition company, rather than a soda company.
It tastes okay. It could really grow on you. 0 calories, but a hell of alot of pump in it.

Sheesh, I remember drinking Red Bull at parties and people were like 'WTF is that??' I used to see it at raves and actually found a few stores that carried it, so I always had some around.
And now everybody and his brother drinks it, and I don't feel special anymore.

But you still get to brag about how you are an old-school red bull drinker! No one can ever take that away from you.

No, I guess it's been around in Europe for nearly 20 years. I started seeing the slim cans here in Michigan in the late '90s at raves and techno/trance clubs, but it was hard to find stores that carried it.
It was maybe 2-3 years ago that it sprang up everywhere, and I have no idea what caused it. (Maybe it's popularity with X-game advertising?)
For my money, it's sister product 180 is better. Really awesome with vanilla stoli.

If you mean removing ALL carbohydrates from your diet, you are correct.
If you mean it's stupid to stop eating simple sugars and white bread / rice, you are wrong.

| Quote: | Clever marketing helped Dietrich Mateschitz turn a so-so beverage into a billion-dollar brand.
Red Bull, the "energy" drink created by Austrian Dietrich Mateschitz, doesn't taste very good. Nor does it sound very appealing: The berry-flavored beverage is spiked with mysterious additives like taurine and glucuronolactone. And at $2 for an 8.3-ounce can, Red Bull's retail price is at least double what you'd pay for a 12-ounce can of Coke. But it does pack some energy. Red Bull, with 80 milligrams of caffeine, has more than double the dose found in the larger Coke serving, and it has 110 calories per serving versus Coke's 140.
Consumers downed 1.9 billion cans of Mateschitz's potion last year, generating just about $2 billion in revenue. By our reckoning Mateschitz's 49% share of the business is worth $2 billion.
Mateschitz, 60, typifies a new class of billionaires who got rich not by inventing a new product but by selling an ordinary one inventively. Donald Trump gets a premium for his Manhattan apartments because he has propagated the notion that a Trump building is superior to comparable property across the street. Sidney Frank made billions by selling Grey Goose vodka, nearly indistinguishable from bottom-shelf brands, at a rich price. |

First time I ever heard of it was in that Wipeout XL game for PSX which was released last quarter '96.
I didn't actually see it here in the U.S. till maybe 2001 or so.

Pere LaChaise IS one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. We spent about 3 hours in there just walking around and taking pics. The graffiti around Jim Morrisons grave wasn't as bad as it used to be but I still found myself feeling upset that people would do that to peoples final resting places.

BTW
Low-carb Monster tastes like SHIT! :pukey:
I'm not necessarily on a no-carb or low-carb diet. I just know my body and know that I cannot eat pasta, bread and drink pop on a daily basis if I want my work-outs to be effective and maintain my weight.
There's no name for the diet I'm on. I eat primarily fruits and veggies, (OHHHHHH how I miss produce palace) taking into consideration the sugar content, fat grams, calories and fiber content of everything I eat.
