I've been somewhat researching what game I will be playing next, WoW or EQ2. I like WoW and had a chance to play in the beta for a few weeks, and also the stress test. My biggest concern for WoW is what the beta testers have been saying is that it is lacking endgame content. I've read that most raid encounters and endgame content won't be added until release for obvious reasons. My biggest question is; Will WoW have the same type of endgame as EQ1? As far as keeping up expansions, and being able to "farm" to continuously get better equipment and progression? If so i will be considering WoW a lot more, I'm really hoping that it will have an endgame similar to EQ and will be able to keep a playerbase around as long as EQ1 has. The only thing that has me asking is a few people saying that it will be fun for 2 to 3 months and then you have nothing else to do.
Any info is appreciated. Thank you in advance for any help.

Theres going to be a lot of end game content. Possibly too much to ever fully experience.

-In the next patch they are putting in their first instanced dragon raid.

-they have said that there will be raids that can take up to days (thanks Furor).

-There will be battleground where you will be raiding opposing towns, and this will always be different because different people will be participating/defending their towns.

IMO WoW has the potential to keep me interested for years to come

if i rem right EQ only had 2 "end game" encouters, nag and vox.everything else was added after or in expansions.WOW is keeping some of their raid content away from testers so its new and fresh, and im sure will be adding more throughout the games life.

Tigole and Furor are designing the endgame, I'm sure there will be plenty of it.

yes that is more accurate, they are keeping "some" content away, .. but there is acually alot of end game content..... the highest dungeon sofar in the game is an instance, ... (which means only 5 ppl can go in) , .. but we have found ways around that, ..... disband inside and invite more outside, ... even still when we get 7 or 8 ppl in the raid, nobody has yet to get to the end of this instance.... the dungeon is only 30% or so explored sofar as far as "Fear This" has gotten through..... but we have killed several different dragons, .. endless "Giant named mobs" and tons of impossible end game quests, ... where alot of equip is still left to discover.

There's going to be plenty of end-game raid content in WoW. The Items aren't even done yet for most of the game (they're there, but a lot of items are lacking focus effects for casters).

There is the Dark Portal to outworld, and The Emerald Dream which are high end areas. I think it was stated for sure that The Emerald Dream would be in the release, and I think I read a post from a long time ago with Tigole saying it was an absolutely massive zone.

Yeah, there's raid instances in the game right now that literally take DAYS to get through. Raid content isn't going to be an issue. And from what I've seen of it (very little I might add), it's simply amazing.

Even the newbie raid instances are a blast and very well done.

I should also add that there's PVP. Even if you play on the PVE servers (for you newbs who can't take fighting real opponents), there's still PVP battlegrounds.

With the honor system, you'll be able to buy phat lewt by getting honorable kills against your enemies.
