I have quit Runescape in favor of wow, but while I was on (2 months ago) I discovered an exploit which can make transferring quite easy.
This is only realistic on a members server. Before going in, each player should have decent amour, some dragon hide, id say 4 super energy potions (4), and some food. That is not all needed but since nothing is assured in bounty hunter, is greatly improves your chances of being successful.
Basically, you meet the other character in the crater, and you both stand *right* next to the exit cave. Make note of where you are in the cave, use the compass rose and available landmarks. Now, regardless of if he is your target or not, kill the other player. RIGHT after you kill him, leave the cave BEFORE HIS BODY HITS THE GROUND. This should (worked 2 months ago, not sure if it still does) negate the penalty. So, once you've left the cave run back in there, locate the drop, and get the hell out.
***CONFIRM that this works before staking any real gp on it***
Oh, and i don't recommend doing on f2p because you may not have time to find the drop.

That way works pretty good for transfering large amounts of money, but it is much safer to buy sets of full sara and do it with f2p. the average player can tank out 180 seconds on swordfish. Another thing that helps while transfering in p2p bh have a friend just box you with his arms so that nobody else can attack you if you are tanking 180 seconds instead of leaving then looting, that way only your target can attack you.

I always wondered if anyone else thought of that but i wasnt going to say anything because i thought it would be way to risky.....because if you didnt get it then they wont give you 2 times as much
