So i browse these boards off and on and there is something that is starting to annoy me. Every 5 lines in any eq topic there is this guy paden going OMG BACK IN MY DAY OF EQ I KILLED U ALL IN A DUEL LOLZ.
Wtf is going on? is there like a retirement home of eq players who remind themselved constantly that they were great in their day of eq and want all of us who have no idea who they are to think that too? lets take this topic for example: http://www.realpoor.com/viewtopic.php?t=12614
this guy paden had such offerings to the topic as:

He is like one of your parents or grandparents reminising(sp?) over old times. You know kinda like those exagerated stories like back in my day we used to walk to school barefoot in snow and uphill both ways! Now you youngsters get to take a bus making it so easy. Kinda like that but just with an eq twist to it. At least thats kidna how I see it. He cant grasp the powers of level 65 and new gear but likes to tell stories of his old school adventures in now meaningless zones :/

Yeah but one of the big problems is that Paden was never, ever, what anyone would even begin to consider as "old school." He started playing at like the end of 2000 or whatever and just likes to think of himself as "old school" when in reality the game had been out for like a year before he even found it.
He constantly talks about the "good old days" or whatever yet he's just a fraud trying to impress people who could simply care less about him.

Yeah, its funny how people who had a level 45 char in 2001 claim to be old school.
No one who started to played after any expansion except velious came out is even close to being old school

First off.
I don't claim to be old school I am from Kunark era.
Also This board is like 75% retired EQ 25% Active.
Soo umm this is kind of a retirement home.
Paden was level 55 when i quit. He had well over 100 days played. I spent most of my time tradeing.
I am not 15 I am 18
and frankly I can care less how you feal about me or how you dont like me.
Your just another fly on my windshield.

It's not just the fact that he's dillusional when it comes to being "old school." He's just a gimp. He's accomplished absolutely nothing in EQ but wants to feel included.
He's never even been remotely involved in guild dramatics and the highest level raid he's ever seen was probably Nagafen. He boasts about his dueling skills yet he never managed to kill anyone that mattered.
He just sucks in general and refuses to admit it.

I chose to play EQ my way. I did the guild thing I did not like the fussing or being told what to do.
I have never claimed to be old school nor do i want to be.
