Anyone think they'll actually make the release this year? I haven't heard boo about beta and I can't imagine not being in beta yet when the year ends in 3 1/2 months. Any EQ legend people hear anything yet? You're suppose to be the first in line for it, afterall.
They have the development dollars to do all but the final phase of beta internally, and they don't need the anticipation build-up that beta provides for release success - but it seems unlikely.
I want EQ2 - I am sooo sick of EQ and there's nothing else out there that comes close =/

They haven't announced a date, but there's alot of double-talk on their website that kinda gives away the situation.
There's text that says 'Q4 2003,' but also news that states 'beginning of 2004.' Q1 2004 is the more likely release date, perhaps February or March.

really, nothing will ever compare to our much loved "ever crack" because it was the first, and it has all these little features, and fixes that could almost never be duplicated without years of experience

im surprised they dont just release it and fix it slowly over the course of a year while adding new expansions to break it even more.
