(In case no one has seen them yet)

Just Right click -> Save Target As

Make sure you have Quicktime installed to view them.

Video 1 - 52MB 320x240 Quicktime

We start off with a look at the extensive character customization that's in EQ2 where players are able to basically tweak their character's appearance however they want. Then we move into a tavern to check out the new looks for the Vah Shir (or Kerrans in EQ2), Dark Elves, Wood Elves, Humans, Ogres, and finally the new playable race. The video ends with a fight between a Human Monk and an Ogre. Something interesting here is that the Kerran is appa

Video 2 - 38MB 320x240 Quicktime

After the fight, we head out into Freeport and begin exploring the streets. This video features more looks at the character models, a peek at the shattered Luclin in the sky, and ends with the new teleportation animation, which sends us to Nektulos Forest.

Video 3 - 25MB 320x240 Quicktime

This impressive video takes place in Nektulos Forest, the former home of the Dark Elves who are currently trying to reclaim it. It shows a group of players fighting an Ent as well as a very impressive shot of a burning Ent casting its fiery reflection on the running water of the pond.

Video 4 - 34MB 320x240 Quicktime
Here, we head into what's being referred to as a "Pocket Dungeon" as we explore the shaking halls, run into a Flesh Golem, and even help a couple of players slay the dragon Nagafen who has received quite a face lift in EQ2.

Video 5 - 13MB 320x240 Quicktime

This short video gives us a bird's eye view of the player housing that's in the game.

Video 6 - 44MB 320x240 Quicktime

In this video we head to the Commonlands where we engage in combat with a couple of Orcs and an Orge, look at an Elemental Lord, and finally run through a canyon before heading out to the plains.

Video 7 - 60MB 320x240 Quicktime

Our final video shows some exploration of the Commonlands as we come upon some bridge structures and finally the impressively redesigned transportation spires.

Video 7 is completely worthless.

"Let's video me running through East Karana for 10 minutes, complete with horrible pop-ups for every tree in the distance and absolutely no interaction with anything whatsoever!"

Well, I went through the rest of the videos and the terrain looks decent. Nektolus looked especially good but you could see the framerate was stuttering.

Another thing that bothers me is that the exceedingly over-hyped "shadows casting on models" shit wasn't shown in the videos. Infact, there were NO shadows at all.

Naturally Verants entire modelling team simply sucks ass and couldn't produce anything more than the elusive "plastic players" with helmet hair.

The polygons popping out all over the faces and bodies in video 1 was fun too... Can't wait to see that in game!
