who cares, voicing a negative opinion is just as valid as voicing a posotive opinion.
Truth is, the people saying the game sucks have actually played, versus the masses who can't wait, yet have never logged on. disclaimer, above is a generalization, yah there are a handfull of people in beta who like the game.
Regardless, being critical is a part of reviewing a game, deal with it.

Honestly I can't wait to play the game. I haven't gotten into beta, but from the looks of it and the things some sites are saying it looks great.
I don't like it when people come to the EQ2 forum just to say stupid shit if they haven't played it yet, but if they have more power to them on the negative opinions. You need pros and cons to be able to make a decision on if you're going to play a game or not.
Personally I don't like WoW (just because of grahpics and what some have said.) I haven't played it though, so I don't have any reason to go to WoW forum and say negative stuff about the game.

Really ready for EverQuest 2 to come out myself. I haven't gotten into beta myself either, but watching the news about it really close and what I'm reading and the screenshots I'm seeing makes me believe I'm gonna enjoy this game. Now if they just don't delay it anymore, hehe. As for World of Warcraft, I heard from people who's beta testing it that the game's good, but frankly myself with the way Starcraft/Broodwar and Diablo 2 went with Blizzard, I have no desire to even try the 30 day trial of WoW.

Wife and i are going to play EQ2. Just as something to do while our daughter is asleep since she goes to bed so early and on the weekends when she is taking a nap. Figure it will be a good way to spend a couple hours a nite and do something together w/o having to pay for a baby sitter, plus the cost of whatever we do, plus the cost of gas to get there etc etc.

EQ2 is a lot more fun when you are playing with someone you know.... most encounters at least on the freeport side are doable by 2 equal level people. Trying to kill 4 things at once is a pain in the ass but doable also but you actually have to sit down:/

The point Khrath, is that it's annoying to see the same people post the same post/topic about the same game, in the same way. Sure, i'll deal with it just like I deal with all the other shit that gets flung around this forum. But would it be nice for people to tone it down abit? yes.

Alot of you will like it simply because you want only something new to take your minds off of your real lives momentarily.
I see things differently with online games though, if i'm going to make a commitment to a game like that, it better damn well be an amazing pieece of work, and not a half assed game.

Who said everyone in this world wants to play EQ hardcore? Sure the hardcore mentality are going to be a lot more judgemental about a game because it IS or becomes a BIG part of their lives.
We all play for different reasons, however why must the SAME opinion get posted in EVERY thread reguardless of topic.. Yes we heard you the first time, now either contribute to the topic or get the f**k out.

He's saying the game is catered to a specific type of player, which is not what he's looking for. What the f**k is wrong with that? Im with Khrath 100% I want a game that isn't going to suck the life out of me just to gain 2 levels and 1 skill point in pottery. f**k that. I'll stick with WoW. No offense to people that like EQ2...jesus christ.

He's saying EQ2 is too s****y to waste his time on. It's a long drawn out game that requires a certain amount of commitment, but it's just not good enough to meet the quota when it comes to mechanics, graphics and whatever other gameplay factors are involved. I know that much "my dear lad"...
He's not saying he doesn't want something to take his mind off his life momentarily, all games do that ya dolt...he's saying that if it's going to take his mind off real life (for any amount of time), it better be f****n good, and if it's long and drawn out like EQ2, it has even more of a necessity to be f*****g AMAZING, so that it will keep him attracted to it.
*shrug*..that's just how I read it...
