I went to one of the Knives and Pistols only server and just threw a bunch of C4 on the doggy pile of dipshits on them and blew them all up, only to get kicked 5 seconds later.

thats just dumb. i fail to see how these servers are any more stat padding than just using one specific kit or weapon more than another on any other server.
From what ive heard the servers dont lock out the other guns, the admins just "encourage" the use of knives, pistols, and paddles.
If they really want to crack down on padding how about stopping the retards who go support on the same team and just shoot thier clips and resupply each other.
Or the 3 man teams, 2 medics on 1 team and a friend on the other team. They grief a single person on the medics team by constant reviving and essentially lock the person down till they get tired of it and leave the server.
Thats stat padding. Not this. Im really not surprised tho, this is EA were talking about here.

I was wondering last night why the hell I couldn't find any knife/pistol servers 
I only 'stat-padded' like once (although its not stat padding really, just lots of people in a small area to revive ;p). I thought it was fun (if for nothign else than a change of gamestyle) to run around kniving/shock paddling/pistoling people. Oh well
