Dwarf hunters worse than others in LOTRO?

I saw that dwarves have the option of being a hunter and it seemed to me to be a little, how to say, not like dwarf at all. Dwarves are using bows and arrows and hunting in the forests? That's more like humans. Has anyone chosen to be a dwarf hunter? If so, how do you like it?
As you said, I don't think that elf would use Elven bow, he would use the crossbow at least, or pair of axes. Althou he may seem odd, he can do some pretty amaizing stuff, like do a lot of damage to monsters in monster play mode, more then other characters. Overall, the small agility knock at the start but it will be normal and geared after level 10. The higher morale and recovery helps when things go bad.
