these guys wanted something a little snazzier so I made this page as a suggestion. I haven't been hired or anything, this was just my idea.
Any flames / rants / opinions? The flash movie is a bit large but I did that on purpose.

Well, while it has a flash element in it, I don't feel it's necessarily snazzier.
- The original had some design elements that are actually interesting, which you removed.
- You leave stuff to default colors (links) which I see alot of designers neglect.
- The background gray and the gray of the "quasi" watermark in the center are different, but close enough to not contrast enough, creating an ucomfortable feeling.
- The peach doesn't match the yellow in the header at all
- The text next to the images on the left just seemed kinda haphazardly plopped down. When you have such varying amount of text, attention needs to be paid how it works in conjunction with the images and each other. Having some short and some long, pushing images apart, creates a rather random appearance.
There are some other things I could talk about, but they could change depending on changes that you do.
Honestly, I don't feel it's that different than the original site. It's a good start, but you've created alot of unresolved issues in your design that would need to ironed out.

their site is well laid out, i like the 2x2 format they have the pictues in
your acutally looks worse?
how the f**k is that possible?
kind of like reverse engineering
maybe try the first layout, rescaling some pictures maybe?
