How much of the alignment constraints of the pen & paper cleric class is retained in the DDO version? For instance, is there still a limitation that says you can't cast spells with an alignment descriptor directly opposed to our own alignment (so if you're chaotic, you can't cast Order's Wrath, etc.)

Well, not really. First in D&D Online, you can't have an evil alignment, so that's out the window entirely (evil-aligned spells such as blasphemy, animate undead, etc.) And second, most aligned spells are not in the game anyway, even for the non-evil alignments. SO no chaos hammer, no holy smite⦠there's protection from evil, but every alignment has access to that.
