http://kvoa.com/Global/story.asp?S=3385297 A Mexican official said Monday his government "absolutely and emphatically" rejects militarizing the border, in response to a report by a U.S. congressional caucus claiming that 36,000 National Guard troops posted on the border could stop undocumented migration. Responding to a 33-page report, written by investigators for the Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus and cited by the Washington Times, Assistant Interior Secretary Geronimo Gutierrez said it "didn't seem to be a very intelligent way" to handle the problem. "We absolutely and emphatically reject this suggestion," Gutierrez said, "because they way to handle border security concerns today in the 21st century is through cooperation, confidence and technology." Gutierrez said it was not the first time that such proposals had surfaced in the past, but noted that "the more moderate sensible and rational voices have prevailed."

They refuse to do their part because they are one step out a rain forest. They are the enemy, the unwashed. They are invading our country and it should be treated as such. We should start shooting at them. Set up speakers, spam in mexican, "We will be shooting at you in a week", a week later start shooting. It will be cheap and effective.

I don't care if I have to get a stupid white kid to dig my holes, I can afford it.

I've been working side by side with "the enemy" for about 2 years and I gotta say they are the some of the hardest working people out there. A lot more than 95% of these confederate flag waving, pick up truck driving, racist, idiot, yahoo rednecks. But the fact of the matter is they are still illegal to the country. 75 Got shipped off one of our jobs the other day. The city released a statement explaining that they will compensate the loss off workers by hiring local hobos. Riiiiiiiiiight. Oh well. If they keep shippin them out like they have been, hopefully there will be a wage shift.

Ya, I know it well. My grandfather on my dad's side jumped the fence to get here. But he also wasn't standing on the street scaring people away from the local 7-eleven just because they pull up in a pickup.

The illegal Mexicans here is a boost to the Mexican economy since they send money home to be spent there, so money made here spent else where.. Lets can Nafta and Cafta secure the borders and get back to making the country great again.. When we are secure and giving people there jobs back, then look at Nafta for certain fields that don't but workers out of work.. I find it funny we will take items from Canada and sell them here but if we send an item to Canda they Tax the shit out of it to make their stuff lower cost. Not everything but I know they do it on some items... Frozen Pizza for one..

Uh, mexico wants the people to leave. They have way too many homeless people living in poverty as it is, if 1000 people go to america every day, thats 1000 less poverty striken people the mexican government has to worry about. Thats why they don't want us to do anything that will actually stop people from leaving. America has enough poverty as it is, one of the richest countries in the world, and we can't even help our own homeless because other countries dump their homeless on us......yo f**k that.

The "will work for food" people are part of a very successful chain. I think they all get their signs from the same source and each morning stop by the local chapter to get their freeway off ramp assignments. I think their clothes are a carefully orchestrated uniform that they can get already tattered and wrinkled.

There's a somewhat upscale brick oven pizza/italian place I go to a lot around here. A few months ago they got robbed at night; somebody broke a window and stole a box of petty cash with a hundred bucks or so in it. They were closed for a month or so at that location, but they had one a couple towns over so I talked to the owner and told him I didn't understand why they were closed for a month over a simple broken window and petty theft, and I couldn't figure out why he was so evasive about it. Turns out (from talking to a friend on the board of selectmen) the police suspected it was an employee who'd done it (turned out it wasn't), but investigating their background showed that almost every single employee was illegal (all Brazilians), and they were closed while they tried to hire legal employees but had a lot of trouble finding anyone who'd do it. The old place was a pleasure to go to. The employees were fast, friendly, courteous and concientious. The new (legal) employees are surly and lazy, and make so many mistakes I've given up getting takeout from there since it's usually wrong.

Same thing happens in america every day in the tech sector, only it's reversed.

Your mexicans will work for only enough to live in poverty, while americans tell your pizza guy to go f**k himself and his low wages.

Our businessmen get told to go f**k themselves, and they hire out mexicans in a call center overseas, where they can pay people less than is even legal here, so they don't care if the americans don't want to do it for low wages....other countries will.

Indians look kinda like mexicans so that works a little.

It's the exact same thing.

Hehe, when I lived in Phoenix one of the local TV stations decided to put a couple of those "will work for food" guys to the test. They pulled up and said that they would give them burgers and fries from McDonald's if they came over and mowed their lawn. The guys said ok, the news van said "ok meet us in the parking lot over there" (guys were standing in the median stip of the street). The van pulled around to the parking lot and got the camera on in time to catch the two guys haulin' ass down the alley in the opposite direction lol.

There was a whole chain of taco stand restraunts that got shut down in Phoenix for a few months after they got busted by INS as well.

It's open for debate whether illegal mexicans as a group are good or bad for the US IMO, but there's no doubt that they are good for Mexico hehe. Whatever they decide to do to crack down on the border, they shouldn't expect any help from Vincente Fox.
