Considering all facts, what should be picked as the best profession for dueling that is PvP play? Agents should be Ok, as far as I know? But is there some other profession that is thought to be good for PvP? Some other say I should focus on traders? Which is better for pvp?

You wont make a mistake if you select one of the classes you mentioned, and breed it for PvP. They both are very good dueling professions, indeed. But, if you ask me, Id choose a Trader. This is due their special ability to use nanos to drain energy out of their opponents.
