So I'm driving home from moving stuff to my new apartment and it starts getting pretty dark out and then starts pouring. Few minutes later they interrupt the radio saying blah blah Tornado warning for the county I was driving in. So then I call my parents and ask what the T.V. was saying. Turns out the tornado is north of the road I had just turned on to. So i'm looking around and when the trees finally clear I see the thing about 1/2 mile away about halfway from touching the ground. Then it got windy as f**k and had a hard time keeping the car on the road and their was branches flying all over the place, so I gunned it and made it home 10 mintues later. Yah scary as hell, but definatly the coolest f*****g thing ever.

See this is total shit, I've always wanted to see one.

I've lived in oklahoma for the majority of my entire life, and never once seen a tornado.

I call b******t on god, wtf is up with this.

This made me lolirl super hard.

And hey those storms just went past my place this morning I think! (I live near Jackson Michigan) I woke up at like 8:30 this morning (Well before a normal saturday for me) to thunder and lightning, and was like wtf...this doesn't normally get me up...then I look out side and it was like yellow, and it was storming like mad out there. So I was like...f**k I'm prolly gunna die...so I took a p**s and went back to bed, but yah that storm was CARAZY (Assuming this did happen to you today!)

I wanna see a tornado too Sad

A little tip for those of you who don't live in tornado alley. Erase "Twister" from your mind. They don't make screaming sounds, and they don't "chase" you. They are frightening, but their path of destruction is quite narrow, so the odds of you being hit by one is pretty slim. I've had one come within a few blocks of my house, but have never actually seen one.

I saw one back in 1990, huge one with through Plainfield, Illinois. It was crazy, knocked down the high school and destroyed a bunch of houses. I just remember the sky being crazy green and the 3 funnel clouds coming together for a crazy twister.

One hit my dorm while i was in it.

Was pretty badass i watched it touch down and move towards me until it was at the street in front of my dorm when i finally moved out of the window (good thing only the smart kids get into college huh!!!!)

Only two ppl died they were tossed over my dorm in their car. Caused a ton of dmg but not to much to my dorm. Wanna say it was a strong 4 , weak 5 .

I was driving last week in Nebraska on I-80 and ran into some ridiculous rain then came the hail. I turned my cb radio on and keyed up and said "well here is the rain, hail and wind, now all we need is a tornado". My reply from another driver is, just look to the north and you will see one.

Well I couldn't see anything off in the distance because of the rain but sure enough as soon as I outran the bad rain about four or so miles to the north was a tornado. Pretty cool looking funnel.

I had one go by my truck one evening in Lodi Ohio when I was parked. It woke me up for sure and I can usualy sleep through anything but it was to dark to see anything more than shopping carts flying around like tumbleweeds. One thing for sure is your ears pop and it does sound like a train.
