| Quote: | From the outset, Drag-on Dragoon 2 bears strong resemblance to the first game. Once again, missions are split into different gameplay sequences. In the first few areas of play, you'll try out a few free-roaming dragon sequences as well as ground-based sequences where you're free to mount your dragon for some added firepower. Once you get to the second level, you gain access to a world map which allows you to replay previous missions in order to build up your characters and weapons further.
Gameplay improvements are immediately noticeable in all areas. When fighting on the ground, character control feels more responsive, and with the better camera tracking and camera control, taking out all those enemies has thus far proven to be all the more enjoyable. |
With how sluggish the first one felt, that's some very good news. On top of the fact that I'm no longer sick of Dynasty Warriors, not having played those titles (or others like them) for well over a year.

I stopped when they released DW4:XL. Then I tried Drakengard, played the first stage and promptly returned it to Blockbuster.
