She can't afford $4.52 for gas, but she can afford a coke, likely bought at said gas station?
I don't know how much they charge for drinks at US gas stations, but here that coke would easily cost $3 by itself. Hope she has to pay court costs too

maybe she had no gas and that was all the money she had. I have done that before when I had no gas and only a couple of bucks and needed to get to school or something until my payday.

Hmm? Around here the cheap stuff is still $1.90, so Sin isn't far off. And he's right, stopping for 2 gallons is a waste... you'll be back at the pumps two days later.
*shrug* I don't care... I don't pay for gas at all anymore. Got the corporate gas card last month!

when you steal gas the station doesn't just lose the gas lol... they also have to pay the taxes on the gas you stole.
