Is it allowed, or isn't it? I keep hearing it's not, that it's against the Terms of Service and all, but I also hear some people are doing it anyway, and getting away with it. What's the general attitude in the Dofus community on this subject? I take it it's frowned upon?

Meh, I don't really care one way or the other. People who share accounts with semi-strangers in any MMO are fucktards, and deserve to get their accounts hacked.
As I hear it, Dofus security isn't all that great in that respect, they could've handled it better but wanted to let people play from different IPs so they left some loopholes…

It's not just frowned upon, for some reason the devs take it very, very seriously. Even if it's family, best friends, roommates, etc. I know of one extremely prominent member of the Dofus community that got banned for sharing with his flatmate, without any forewarning, and it took a massive upheaval of a lot of players to get it reversed. So be careful
