OK, I have no qualms with political ads. They're all pretty much fair game whether attacking a republican or democrat (though democrats tend to have nastier ads featuring hitler and such). Well the winner was chosen from that moveon.org site. But I noticed that it wasn't even made by an American.

I just find it a little disturbing that foreigners are now contributing propaganda to our national political system.

a) Good ideas are good ideas no matter where they come from.
b) The vast majority of candidate ads were US; this one just happened to win.
c) The term "propaganda" may be literally correct, but it has a stronger connotation (a systematic campaign) than simply a political advertisement. Otherwise all political ads would be propaganda. I don't see how you justify the term here.

What relevance is America's current deficit to a dutchman? It's dangerous to allow foreigners to propagandize for or against American candidates because that only serves the interests of other nations...not Americans. The person who made this ad is clearly not interested in protecting America's children from current political follies. He's interested in ousting Bush by whatever means inflames America's political left.

America's deficit is relevant to all countries. The IMF just warned a week ago that our increasing deficits are in danger of destabilizing the entire world monetary system. The person who made it might not be interested in protecting America's children (or maybe he is), but he's certainly interested in protecting his own.
And far from being inflammatory, the simple warning that huge deficits will have to be paid by future generations seems a very sober warning, conservative even. What do you find inflammatory about it?

Every other country in the world is holding thier breath for a kinder gentler America.
They want an America who will loan them money, give them secrets and basically roll over and concede to Stupid trade laws that basically f**k our nation over. The chinese basically put clinton in office when he ran, and he thanksed them with technology to build ICBM's.
(dont you think its funny that china is doing all this space program shit? You know where that technology came from right and you realize that before they had that tech they couldnt shoot a missile over and hit us, now our whole country is at thier feet)
I prefer an America that doesnt take shit, that is more liable to make trade rules that FAVOR our country, you know I dont even give a shit if the value of the dollar plummets. These f*****s who say it will destabilize the world economy are bullshitting you, what they are worried about is america having the advantage in trade that they have enjoyed for 50 years . Low cost on our exports because our dollar is cheaper. It doesnt hurt us cause our prices havent increased, it only hampers the EU who have seen the value of thier currency soar and are now outpricing themselves from the world market.
Good f**k the EU, they created the EU with one sole purpose, to compete with America, to try and jack us out of cash and opportunity.
Feel the burn f*****s.
(btw I am no Economic Genius, it doesnt take one to see whats going on, so if you feel my theories are wrong, please bring your socialist ass to the plate and refute them)
Now that im done with my Tangent ill say this.. If you think that the another country butting into our politics is a new thing, you are wrong.
Most of the liberal ideals and organizations in America are found through old Russian programs in which they had hoped to topple us by using our own citizens against us. There has always been foreign backed small interest grousp trying to f**k with our politics

"Good ideas are good ideas no matter where they come from."
How exactly does one compare Hitler and Bush. I mean specifics, what similarities are there? When I think of Hitler, I have a specific mental image of his personality and his work as a ruler. When I think of Bush, I do not see much of a comparison. So I ask you, How are they similar?

Ciao, |
I was referring to the fact that if the ad is good, it shouldn't matter if it was made by a Dutchman from Copenhagen ( ), or an American. NWS threw in the Hitler stuff gratuitously; the ad just shows little kids working in a factory, then says that our children will be the ones to pay off Bush's huge deficits.
