i think gaming has become one of the most popular ways of life for our generation since most of us have grown up with it......i remember getting my first sega console when i was about 6.......or was it a nintendo 64?

Tough Question to Answer to be honest.
As its been mentioned before probably... gaming has left a scar in my life and i could have done much more constructive stuff with my life. only recently have i decided to take a break from WoW and AoC and Reconstruct myself with a career etc. but i still keep in touch with all my friends i made through the games via forums etc.
1 Thing i like to say that benefits me through gaming is my Super fast reactions and counters irl from pvp play and fast thinking to play at max performance.
Sorry for the wall of text hehe...but im gonna have to say yes..but doesn't stop me from playing
If you polish a turd...it's still a turd

I don't completely regret it, i just loathe all the other gamers that try to come in contact with me at school or work. I do not wish to interact with them, I do have quite a nice social life, and these gamers don't seem to get it. Im always invited to their little crappy LAN parties, and I regret gaming cause they frustrate me to no end.

I don't regret gaming in general, as there are a few games I really enjoy playing - I load them up and again, play for a while then quit. Games like The Sims, Civilization, Sim City.
But then games like World of Warcraft...sometimes I just cringe when I look at how much time I have put in!

Nope, I've learned how to divide my time up for work and social interactions.

Gaming is fun. But I don't think it should be like your LIFE. You know enough is enough when you start using "lol" in real life.

Since I was very young, I was handed a Commodore 64 to start off with. Since then, I've grown up around games, though I must admit, since I started with WoW about 3 or so years ago, I took things too far when I started shunting off friends and school work to play. Luckily, things didn't end up too badly, but I do regret getting so involved and spending so much time and money into something I now hate. Casual gaming is the way to go for me now, since I don't want to fall into the same trap again. Besides, I have quite alot going on IRL at the moment to be committed to such things. :p

I voted yes - despite having a lot of fun, I just wish in the early days EQ1 wasn't so time intensive. Games now, WoW and Lotro especially are thankfully no so time demanding and so allow for a mix of RL and Online life.
A happy balance now - it wasn't always so happy!

I don't necessarily regret getting into gaming, as it did provide a more exciting childhood. I do however, wish I would have gotten out of gaming sooner.

Not in the slightest, it's something i love. I do understand when people say there's other things you can do with you're life but gaming doesn't have to be your life.

I do regret playing WoW. Wasted 2 years of college playing it. But any other video game like CS, I don't regret playing.

Yes and no.
Yes, because I know there are a lot of things in real life that I'm missing out on, however..
No also, because I've made a lot of good friends through the games that I've played.

No i don't regret it, I don't shunt off my friends to play runescape but when people who play runescape come up to me and start talking about it i can't be doing with that!
i just tell them to be quiet and go away... i have a pretty active social life so it's all good in the afternoon i go out till like 6pm (playing tennis and football with my mates)
Then when i come back i usually play for the night

Never have regret gaming, never will. It's fun, you just gotta know how to have some self-control and you shouldn't run into any problems.

I certainly have a lot of regret, but that hasn't stopped me yet.
I had two EQ1 accounts, both had well over 400 days /played, so that's over two years of my life I spent in EQ1 24/7.
I spend a lot of time in WoW, EQ2, EVE Online, heck even Toon Town (which IS a cool game, for a while). Add all the single player content, Gameboy, GBA, DS, PS2, PS3, and Wii playtime to that, and I probably spent 5 years out of my 35 gaming.
What a total waste of time, I'd be rich had I worked half that time instead. I'd have a PhD had I gone to college instead, but no, I game my time away, and by now the wife is pretty p****d about that, hence is why I am here after all.

regretting getting into gaming would be like regretting ordering that cookies and cream milkshake for dessert: impossible. cookies and cream milkshakes are so good, so f*****g good, that despite how much you ate prior to ordering one, or it's calorie/fat content, you just cannot regret eating/drinking it as it's super delicious splendor slides across your tongue and down to your tummy tum tum.
