|
|
|
I've been taking vitamins daily for about 8 months now, and am just curious if they are worth taking? I read somewhere you should take them if you dont get your recommended daily values of vitamins from other foods, which i'm not.
I was just was thinking about it, so I thought i'd ask. Not like they cost alot, so I guess it can't hurt. Just wondering if they are actually making me "semi healthy" I do exercise, but I don't eat well. I hate eatting well.

A good multi vitamin is usually all anybody needs. Recommend everybody take one. some changes you should see is your hair healthier and growing faster than usual. same with your nails. skin should be alot healther feeling and looking. just a few minor things that it helps that are noticable.

All you need to know about vitamins/minerals. Also after TONS of research personally this is the place I get my vitamins from.
YOU NEED VITAMINS YES!!! Centrum and all those other s****y ones dont get fully absorbed into the blood stream and yes while they may contain the daily recommended dosage your s******g 80% of the vitamin out with your waste. ANR vitamins are water soluable and dissolve rapidly and have been proven to digest prior to elimination. =) I know this sounds gross but if your body isnt digesting the vitamin its worthless.
Well worth the investment imho. =)

If you want healthy hair take vitamins...drink water...and take a biotin suppliment and perhaps even an evening primrose suppliment.
Biotin works wonders for the hair and nails. =) If your hair is dry and dying you arent drinking enuf water or getting enuf nutrients in your food. =/

Gald, you are going to have these guys on more pills than they can handle. most people just want an easy to take one a day and they have been found sufficient to work for most peoples needs.

You may have herpaghonnasyphilis.
Anyway, the doctors told my mom she had to take some vitamin because her body wasn't absorbing it well enough. They gave her one pill for better absorption and another, the vitamin, which had 16,667% of her recommended daily value.

i take a one a day multi vitamin plus an iron pill (doctors orders) on top of that, im eniemic (sp?) though so thats why i need the extra iron, my body doesnt absorb it as its supposed to or some crap.
you nails are your biggest health tell tale sign.
when i developed wierd ridges in mine and they were brittle peeling i asked my doc wtf was up with it he took one look at them and ordered a blood work up. hi thyroid problem!
listen, if youre seriously concerned about your health and well being and about taking a daily vitamin ask you doc what he/she recommends and see if they want you to have a blood work up done to rule out any *problems* before hand or to see if you need something 'extra'.

blood work up
they take a couple vials of blood and test you for your basics, plus any other weird things they might be suspicious about after conversing with you.
like my family has a history of thyroid and diabeties problems so when my nails were screwy and i told him about my energy (or lack there of) problems my weird hormonal problems (dont ask you really dont want to know) ect. he ordered a few screenings and they took three small tubes.
its no biggy just a poke in the arm bit of blood drawn then ya sit a min then go about your day.
