Logging in to see "Arrowrainjar" and "Smokedawgz" duoing somewhere kinda... kinda makes my left eyelid twitch. I don't care about these people. I wno't help them and I'll never ask for their help.

That being said... why does seeing names like this in-game annoy me so much?

Is it the sheer tackiness? Like a bright pink house with rebel flags in every window, two horse trailers and a backyard full of dogs?

Things like this call for improved support for developing a device to stab people in the face over the internet.

Does the punk rock hairstyle refer to clerics with velious custom helms? cause with new graphics they look ghay, of course with old graphics they look like a f*****g cats head on your head but /shrug.

I look forward to EQ2. It will be easier for me to find the losers and then not group with them.

I'm with you. I grouped with a wizard once named "Hunglow Weener" at like level 32. Many months later, he applied to my guild at level 65. By that time his name had been changed to "huglow" by a GM. I still voted a big no on him because I didn't want to be associated with anyone who would name their main character something that stupid.

Didn't some tool with the nom-de-plum of "Deez Nutzonyochin" actually get into BC? And I seem to remember him failing the guild vote.

That's not a wood-elf. That is a half-elf. The reason it looks so is because well, it's a half-elf. They are the rejects of both the human and elvish societies.

I never understand why people make those types of names. You tried "Gandalf" and "Merlin" and those didn't work, so instead of trying to come up with something original you choose "Ggandalffx" or "Murlyenn". Aren't you going to feel stupid when you run into the guy who got "Merlin?"

Saw a ranger yesterday named "Leglas," probably the 20th variant of Legolas I've seen so far.

That's Deze. And I don't think that was his name for very long. I ran into him when he was still only lvl 50-something and his name was already Deze Hasfleaz (which I thought was cute). I ran into him a couple of months later and it was already something else, then he was in ED if I remember correctly.

the one I don't understand is "Zebrn Beasword".... was he drunk? Was he trying to make "Beast Sword"? "Beast Word"? Is it supposed to be an impression of a how a 2 year old would say "Beastlord" ?

I dunno I just don't see the angle he's coming from

I should have added that "Brutul" is a pretty damn stupid name as well. I wish I would have come up with something better but it's too late to change now. At least it doesn't make reference to any bodily functions. Razz

I picked Silvermouse because I wanted a generic, sneaky rogue name.

I named Frehya after my dog's mother. Who just happened to be named after a Norse Goddess.

Of course they wouldnt accept the proper spelling.
