OK, so I'm fully converted to XP now and I love it over the pos that was win 2000.

The one thing I miss though is the desktop button that came on the task bar in 2000 that is conspicuously missing now.

Is there someway I can get the desktop button back so that I click it in the task bar and all the open apps go away so I see the desktop?

And yes, I checked google so save it. 10k articles on how to manage you desktop.

C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch

you should have "Show Desktop" in there

I have an old skool 1950's keyboard so that I can avoid the pain in the ass "convenience" that is the windows key. I hate that f*****g thing =)

Ok, so the problem wasn't seeing quicklaunch, once you take off the desktop from the launch bar you need this tool:

Good tool for a lot of random shit actually.
