Hours after completing the transaction on selling my WoW Dwarf Warrior, he files a unauthorized payment claim through paypal. I emailed his paypal address as well as the email on the WoW account. He replies to acting like he doesn't know who I am. HE IS A VERIFIED PAYPAL USER BUT STILL A SCAMMER
His AIM is - defekt06
His MSN is - nemesis500548@msn.com
Paypal Info:
Norman Clevenstine

We have given the info out on safe trading, the simple truth is its your own fault you got scammed. It still amazes me to see people fall for chinese scammers.

I have reason to believe he is not located in china. I think he is in the US using a chinese proxy. He called blizz to retrieve my account and I don't think a person in china could do that.

Theres no reason for him to use a chinese proxy, we end up banning those on sight with chinese IP anyway. The chinese arent savage animals, they can easily call Blizzard or send them an email. More to the point, the chinese scammers are getting better trained at scamming and are becoming harder for regular members to detect.
It's just something you will have to put up with until premium section is released, we wont be banning or assisting those scammed by chinese, or in fact regular scammers in the future as its a timesink we cant afford to keep doing.

I am not going to try and defend myself here...yes it was my fault for getting scammed in the first place...but anyways, when will the premium section be released? And how exactly will that work?

1-2 months until public release. Info on the technical details will not be released until an Admin posts it. The only info you can be told at this point is it will ensure safe trading and lock out a high majority of scammers. Im not naive, there will be a very small, and i really mean small minority of scammers, problem for them is they can only return once or twice then they are unable to come back. Even bigger problem is its not worth their trouble, premium members arent idiots, they will know how to trade. So basically they will stick to lurking on public section.
We will be dropping support on public section over time. We aim to provide round the clock support & wekly content to premium section. You want safe trading, it comes at a price. Since public section will generally be un-moderated, i can strongly advise honest traders not to trade in the public section as it will become a breeding ground for kiddies running around scamming each other.
All im saying at this point is the site has alot of interesting things happening over the summer period, so keep an eye out.
