Which genre is more immersive and, overall, fun?

What's with all the gaming questions lately, poopface? Are you developing a new, super addictive timesink for us?

Shadowrun was by far the greatest PnP RPG. No competition, it just owned.

Some people just aren't very observant Confused

To answer your question: I never played Shadowrun, but the idea of a cyberpunk MMO is a lot more refreshing. I think in the end though, successful implementation or the genre is a lot more integral than the genre itself.

I agree the Shadowrun die system was revolutionary, if you could use such a term for gaming.

The only thing I didn't like was the genre. Elves with revolvers? Ogres hacking ATM machines?

transformers would make a sweet MMO with mech warrior style FPS and autobots vs decept faction built in and a storyline already.

I have played a decent amount of both games mentioned. I prefer on a regular basis a D&D type setting, but shadowrun is a great game. The dice system was ok I guess, I didnt think it was all that as some people do.

If you wanted to do a wacko crazy huge online game, do Talislanta occulis. Its fantasy but in a world with a ton of races and all. If you have never played it I recommend it.

Or do a Gamma World type setting, that would be kinda cool. That may be a little to much like AO though now that I think about it.

If you wanted to do something really s****y you could do a game like gah, I cant remember the name now... the D&D in space? God that sucked ass....

The problem with picking something that already has a fan base is.. pleasing the fan base.. and the general retarded population.

I still say a White Wolf MMO would own...five realms to choose from, which interact with each other...multiple classes based off those realms...plus multiple bad guys that could cross over also.

the bag, a parrallel universe created by justin marriott.

this wild place cannot be described in words, but must be actually shown to a person through the insanely well drawn images drawn by the creator.

Just to add, I am really happy with the new WOD books. I have the vampire and the main book and they are really good imo. So yea.. go buy em.

But, I dont know how well a White Wolf mmo would go over, PNP you can set a mood and all a lot easier then in game. I think you would lose alot of the Roleplaying aspect in a computer game with thousands of other jackasses.

Elder Casadence: "Hello Malk, I have an assignment for you to do. It is of utmost importence that it be done swiftly. I trust you are capable of handling a few minions of the wurm?"

Malk : "Uhh np dawg. I have ganked manya vamps in my time. Be ez pickinz, HAHA GONNA OWNZ ME SOME BLUDSUKKAS!!!"

Elder Casadence: "Good, I wish you luck upon your small quest my son"

Malk: "Hellz ya man, wuwu, I bet at the endz of this queest we get some lewtz!"

I really see it going along those lines...

Actually with the WOD MMO...you could start off with one of the five...six months later, expand with another...six months later, expand with a third...etc...

Shadowrun for genesis was one of the best games ever. I never even figured out what to do in the SNES version and if I couldn't figure it out in the first 5 minutes, there was no way I'd even use gamefaqs.com and waste my time. My friend said it was good though.

D&D. There are so many options for races, classes, feats, spells, etc. that making a character can be really fun nowadays

I think Elves in leather trenchcoats with laser blasters is one of the most effiminate things you can imagine. It's very Junior High'ish. Neutral
