I just got a dvd burner, it came with Nero software but it crashes everytime I try to run it.
What freeware software do you guys use?

DVD Santa if you just want to either convert AVI files to dvd files or if you want to burn image/iso files; Alcohol 120 for image/iso files. Nero is giving me way too many problems so I have more or less stopped using it for now....but if you want fancy menus and stuff, you'll need Nero or something similar.

nero 7 for data backup, dvdxcopy for copying movies.

I use Nero pretty much, the full version, not the piece of shit freeware they give out. Need to get the full version of Nero, with all the latest add ons and it works pretty damn well.
