|
|
|
If my motherboard will only run at 266 DDR and I put a 333 DDR stick in there will it just run it at 266 or will it not run at all? The store said they don't think it will run so I bought the 266 speed instead... but the 333 was the same exact price so I figure it'd be smarter to get for when I eventually get a new MB. So should I go exchange it? Please only answer if you are 100% sure.

throw it in and find out... it's not like it's going to explode... if it won't work, it won't be detected during bootup.

Time for Enlightenement..
Your ram will run at the highest speed your motherboard allows. Thus, 266mhz.
And yes..
2100 == 266
2700 == 333
3300 == 400
Or something like that..
Peace.
