You get credits by posting things on forums like you just did, or reply to forums. You could also read the rules and faq for how much credits there are too earn.
But 3 posts are 1 credit. And you need 3 credits total to make a tradepost, so you need to reply in 9 post total.
Do not try to just reply with k, or lol, or haha or with a smiley, you will get suspended, take your time in a spot and put something decent in it.
