Big and Rich
1. You can't have two more opposite genre's of music than country and rap.
2. You can't f*****g combine country and rap.
3. WHAT THE f**k. How did these f****n dipshits get a record deal.
4. I'd rather listen to real rap than listen to country rap. Save a horse ride a cowboy... f*****g DIE. My favorite quote from these two wastes of f**k is, "EVEN IF YA DONT THINK ITS COUNTRY, IT IS." Ya got me there. Damn. What an argument.
5. Real country music is bad enough, but to add rap to it is damned mean .
It's like making a shit sandwich. Whether you make it out of Cat Shit or Dog Shit, or the new Combined Cat and Dog Shit, it's still a shit sandwich.
Game, set, match.

I didn't say it was rap. I said it was a combination. They are combining country and rap by their own admission.

Big and Rich aren't too bad. It's like country hip hop or something. But since I dont' define myself by any particular musical genre (I listen to music for the sake of music) I guess I have an odd point of view.

Qald. I'll grant you that it doesn't resemble any form of normal rap. It's the fact that they WANT to be part rap part country. What kind of idiotic shit is that.

Well I don't think rap is idiotic, cause I listen to it, but in any case, their music is idiotic.

People had similar complaints when Run DMC was first becoming popular. Don't worry! Soon there will be Country Rap Stations, Contests, and even grammies!

i believe yer thinking of phish.... or possibly blues travelers... i had the song on my computer... when downloaded from somone it was called blues travelers and dave mathews band - gin and juice.... but my very knowledgable on all things music friend, said it was just miss named because they thought it sounded like them... and was actually a band called phish... who is a band with a certain type of person that follows them similar to greatful dead... but not quite as great....
either way... that gin and juice remake was fukin hilarious.... so hilarious in fact a friend and i did an aqoustic version of the same (minus the country twang in voice) at a party we played at ^_^
we also did a travis style hit me baby one more time.... and matchbox 20esque time after time.... the people had drank alot of jungle juice at the time.. and enjoyed it...
after the show, i being a none drinker, and evan, a guitar player who is a minor... kinda... didnt belong anymore! so we layed in the middle of the street at the new homing sub division, where there were little to know lights, you could see so many stars! it was beutiful.... eventually fell asleep in... in the street... seeming as if we were the drunkest people there!... when really we hadent touched a jungle juice all night! and i know this sounds homogay child f****r... falling asleep while watching stars with a minor male.... but we only snuggled because it was cold....
.... god im bored....

It was the Gourds. A Bluegrass Version.
After doing a little searching it is not Phish, Dave Mathews, Blues Travels, and Garth Brooks and company it was the Gourds...
Phish actually put a note on their web site
| Quote: |
How can I hear Phish doing "Gin and Juice"?
This song has not been performed or recorded by the Vermont band Phish .
It was originally done by Dr. Dre, Snoop, and a NYC hip-hop artist named Phish, and has been covered by a bluegrass band from Texas called the Gourds. The latter circulates on MP3, and is sometimes incorrectly labelled as by Phish.
The hip-hop artist "Phish" is also featured on backup vocals for Dre's "What's the Difference" (track 7 on Dr. Dre 2001 - a title as remarkably unoriginal as using the name Phish nearly two decades after the band started to). |

Perhaps you're thinking of Hayseed Dixie? Yanno, like AC/DC. They are a bluegrass band that covers other genres. I know they have lots of classic rock/rap covers out there. Pretty funny stuff.
