Depends on what you mean by "play" to be honest. Yes, that system could technically install and possibly run it, but no you will be no where near playable, even on the very lowest of settings. And even if you could squeak by, it looks like dirt on min settings anyhow. I have 2 Gigs Ram, Core 2 Duo, and a 7900GS, and I maintained 20-30 FPS on medium settings.
Granted a lot of the performance problems were caused by the game's coding, but to be honest if you're buying the PC to play AoC or any other recent games, I would strongly advise against it.
Maybe you could let us know how much you were going to spend on it, or how much you want to spend, and we could see what you could do?

Thanks for the details Monkeus... yes, I would like a computer that can play AoC well enough to be considered playable at medium or better settings.
My only problem is I'm on a tight budget. My parents bought a white MacBook for me (for college) but it can't handle 3D games very well.
I want to use some of my savings to buy a strictly gaming computer for about 400-500 dollars. Are there any deals out there? The computer I gave the specs for only costs $125.
OR I want to buy computer parts that will work together based on advice from forums and then my friend can help me assemble them.
If it's possible, how much do you think it would be buy the computer with the posted specs for $125 then upgrade parts of it to reach AoC playability?
Thanks so much!

Thanks ^^ That is what I was really looking for, a basis to work off of.
sorry I'm not tech savvy.. at all.. would it be possible to take the case and HD from my old Dell PC or would there be compatibility issues?
And what parts do you think would be safest to buy (new) on E-Bay or something?
your information has been very informative/ helpful :]

....yeah....so anyways.
If you have a case and a power supply that's at least @400w, then definately use it instead, and if you have a spare DVD drive use that as well.
As far as your hard drive, I would say unless its SATA and over 100GB, then just get a new one.
Also most things from newegg.com are free shipping, save for cases. So you wouldn't have extra cost for that. And to be honest I would just stay away from ebay, much easier to order all your parts from one place, know you're getting them at the same time, and not have to worry about shipping costs like I said. That's just what I would do though.

You're going to need atleast 2gigs of ram, but the rest of the system looks decent enough to run it, but probably not on the highest settings.

Your PC could handle the game, but with low graphics and bad FPS like 15 - 25

I'm playing on:
Pentium 4 3.0GHz
3GB DDR Ram
8600GT XXX overclocked to max
and I'm playing pretty good. I lag quite a bit in sieges but aside from that it's definitely playable.
