Once again there is one user who doesn’t know what to choose and is counting on you fellow players to help me out and decide what the best one among the two professions is. I will not be much longer now, I just want to ask you for help and to say that I appreciate what you are doing for me here, guys. Conqueror or Dark Templar in Age of Conan?

Since you thanked the guys, I guess my help is not welcomed, so I will not get into the discussion why one is better then the other and believe me that you would like to hear what I have to say. I know both of this professions inside out and I am very sorry that you didn’t give me a chance to share my knowledge with you. I am sure that you will find some other guy, who will have the knowledge and the time to share all this with you. Good luck n the search for this answer and I hope to see you in the game some time soon.

Depends what role you wanna fulfill. DT's are a lot better with tanking, Conquerors deal a bit more damage and have some decent support buffs.

DT can only use a 1h + shield.
Conq can dual wield and use tons of stuff.

I play a conquerer right now (level 33). I stopped my 51 PoM to try it out and I'm having lots of fun with it right now. It's a lot more fun than casting, I guarantee that much, but I think compared to Rogue dps we're a lot weaker. At this point I don't think conquerers can use shields so the tanking aspect is better left off to DTs and Guardians.

65+ DT at the moment, also played a level 80 one. I can let you know, that while some of the skills and feats need working with scaling problems and some feats being worthless. However, they are excellent tank classes. The guardian is called the main tank but the DT deals with multiple mobs much better with the guardian being more of a boss tank. As for solo pve, its excellent levelling and grinding, works very well with a ToS for the grinding bit, and just general playing.
