Every now and then for no reason I get a popup saying "Local Network Disconnected" All my computer is hooked up to is the cable modem. I is confused.

Is the prong that holds your cat5 cable into the slot broken?
Unplugging the cord does that, so you might have a bad cat5 cable, or just a bad connection.
Could be a bad nic also I guess
