I played EQ forever and i like this game so much more then it. Its fun, has little to none downtime for classes, all classed can solo, and i really like the art and the graphics of the game.

EQ does not even come CLOSE To comparing to this game.

WoW Is superior in every way you could think of.

WoW is better than EQ1 but not as good as EQ2 imo. However, many people will disagree on that. It is a good game though

It's a different game than EQ2. WoW is easy laid back something you can just log in to and have fun. There is no death penalty tradeskills are simple. It's like a better version of DAOC. EQ2 you have to spend way too much time in like EQ1.

wow is just "fun"

I log on, and do some quests, get a level, pvp some and log off.

I really like the quests, they make it feel like your not "grinding" when in reality you are.. but it just doesnt seem like it!

WoW is head and shoulders above EQ. Folks have covered a lotta stuff, but two aspects I REALLY like so far are instances and raids.

Raids: The raid leader can manually move people around between groups without having to do the disband & reinvite hustle. VERY handy there. Also...not sure why, but folks seem to pay attention more, least on my server, and the big groups i've done have all worked out quite well. Knock on wood.

Instances: (For those that don't know, these are the hard dungeons)
1. Each has a unique look, feel, and story. Been to 3 so far and all were fantastic. (Deadmines, Stockade, and Shadowkeep).

2. If you wipe out, you get your corpse back as soon as you zone in, rather than having to pray to god you'll be fine at wherever you wiped.

3. reasonable respawn times to allow advancement through it.

4. If you boot someone they'll get tossed from the zone.

5. ITS ALL TO YOURSELF! You don't have to fight over shit with people. This right here is the #1 thing. I absolutely love that. No more of this racing b******t.

Not that i'm praising EQ (i'm playing WoW 28 Hunter 4tw), but it's kinda funny. EQ added all of this stuff.

PvP is defintly the way to go in WoW. Honestly the game is increadably fun but i've only had the game for a week and a half and i'm already level 36, so leveling will be quick, after that there's only farming like people still do in diablo two. Even that will boil down..... However PvP Raids and battles will always be fun. Yesterday my guild and several other 'Horde' Guilds banned together and took a 40 man raid into the heart of night elf terrirtory, was about 40 min of pure slaughter untill the nightelf guilds banned together and we had a showdown, just like in a old war film it was f*****g awsome. Battles taking place retreats, generals barking orders. It was seriously the coolest thing i've done in a MMRPG yet. Its kinda like the EQ 'Alingment' type pvp server that they did awhile back.

One other aspect of the pvp that i really like is that you cannot hear or communicate in anyway shape or form with the opposing side. So it really helps you get into character. There's no noob screaming at you "why did you camp my corpse" its just plane and simple. Also there really are no downsides to pvp in this because the WORST thing i can do is camp your copse but even then all you have to do is accept a spirit rez, which makes alot of your armor hurt which inturn cost you alot of money, however there is no camping yoru corpse for hours on end.

Seriously, i'm level 36 atm a mage, and i can take on just about anyone, cept f****n rogues! grr.... However just about any "single" level 35 area person can be slaughterd by a group of level 20's or 25's.
