World of Warcraft is still the most popular game out there (as far as I know). However many people claim that Everquest 2 has much more interesting features, so maybe it is worth trying? I don’t have an account at WoW or EQ2, but I was just wondering which one is better.

It is really hard to tell which one is better. The best way to find this out is to try both games. The problem is that trial games aren’t always available for download. However, there are a couple interesting texts on this topic. Check out the results from google inquiry on ‘EQ2 vs WoW’

World of warcraft is a much more competitive game than eq2. Eq2 is largely focused on pve elements, while WoW is focused on both pve and pvp, however not soo much on the pve as eq2 is. Eq2 has better graphics and much more character depth, but world of warcraft has a great pvp system. Tradeskilling in EQ2 is far greater than world of warcraft though.

I think you can get free trial accounts with both eq2 and wow for 14days, they are avaliable to download, so could try both out, will need a fast connection though as they are large downloads!

You can try out both via demos. I started EQ2 back in it's beta and played it well past WoW's initial release, although I was also in WoW's beta. I got burnt out on EQ2 and started playing WoW. I now play both. Both have their pros and cons and both are very good games. It's all about what you like.
I'd suggest giving both a try. They're both fun.

cant really compare the games, they are very different in many ways. When looking at PVP WOW blows EQ2 out of the water but many aspects of the pve game / character development in EQ2 are much better then wow

WoW has it's pluses, there are fewer bugs, easier on older comps, it's more fluid, and it's simpler.
EQ2, which I was in beta for originally but recently picked back up to start playing again has a number of aspects that totally blow wow out of the water but it not being an ezmode mmo like wow will keep it's subscription base at around 5% of wow's.
