Letting them devour themselves in an political structure that doesnt work is what beats commies.

Communism, as a theory, is sound. When you add in the fallibility of humans it won't work.
How is a governmental structure where every single person is given a job, food, a home everything that need to live not going to work? Because... lets see... Greed? Selfishness. The idea that you are better than your lot in life and are required to rise above it. Then of course you can't find anyone honest enough to run a communist country.
The ideal is sound, even if the practice is not.
That is all.

thats like saying a physics theory is sound even though it doesnt work "My theory is sound so long as you discount certain aws of physics when concerning certain parts of it" It was designed as a government for HUMANS, it wasnt designed for some perfect beings and then humans found it in a crashed alien space craft and tried to apply it, it was made up by humans for application to human civilization, and it did not work. therefore the theory does not work. Anyone can have a theory that works so long as you get to define what the laws are, communism was a theory made with full knowledge of human nature and the people who made it thought that people could overcome their nature and embrass the government, they couldnt, that was part of their theory as much as anything. Therefore their theory does not work in the real world.
Only a commie would come up with something so dumb as to claim communism isnt flawed because in some alternate universe where the laws of nature are different it might work.

If I remember correctly.. a communist government to be formed must be a revolutionary break from the existing government. Post revolution there is a temporary dictator or ruler established until the "peoples" government may be formed and settled into control. When they assume control the ruler is supposed to step down leaving the "people" running the country. Has any communist nation truly progressed beyond the temporary leader stage?
One thing that seems flawed to me about communism or socialism is that on paper it looks like a very nice system. Everyone is equal, everone is employed and the state gives you all you need equally.. I think this would stiffle creativity. If the inventor, the surgeon and the ditch digger all get the same size house, rations and effects. Where is the incentive to make a bettter house siding or a better heart valve? Why kill yourself for an education if you get the same thing for sweeping floors or baking bread that a pilot or architect recieves from the state?

Do you realize that no one here could be described as a good little communist?
We'd all be killed by the Party.
And no, communism is an extremely s****y idea.
I read through the Communist Manifesto once because of a similar topic on RP, and as I was reading through, I realized what a complete d*****s Karl Marx was.
There is no individual expression, no dissenting opinion from the majority rule.
Children would be raised in a state school system, never to know the identity of their parents. Marx actually wrote this up, even as he had many kids with his wife who supported him throughout. What a f*****g hypocrite.

Communism fails because people are simply not equal. It requires people to love their government and sacrifice their individual liberty for its success. Since nobody wants to sacrifice their own freedom for the some dictator (which is ultimately required because a government that promotes equality requires the oppression of many), nobody works very hard. They aren't innovative. The society falls apart. Ironically the central premise of liberalism is "equality" which, like communism, requires an oppressive government to enforce.

Naa...I just miss that warm feeling I used to have knowing we got ours aimed a them, they got theirs aimed at us. It was all so simple, the 2 big guys in a stand off. Now we are the bad guy to all the little ones that watched us win the big fight.

I see us as the lion being nipped to death by a pack of hyenas.
We should let the world go f**k itself for about 5 years while we fix our internal problems.
Not my call though..
