Heavily PvP oriented, in order to progress you need to PvE and PvP. PvP or Realm vs. Realm (RvR) as they call it is mass-scale, involves the entire server and cross-servers of factions battling it out in a full-scale war to take strategic points (castles, keeps), very similar to DaOC (Mythic developed it and is now working on WAR).
24 unique classes total, 12 each faction.
You can find an overview of the game here http://www.warhammeronline.com/gamedescription/index.php
