Great tips, just got Xbox 360 arcade for $150 CAN at Wal-Mart. I would take advantage of that great deal!

Xbox 360 seems to overheat for a lot of people, I just got the xbox and little brother used to play it a lot these days until got him the xbox 360... Also got him the Halo3 collection box which comes with the halo helmet, disappointed me when it cannot be worn only for show Sad

Anyways...why is there an adapter? Could they just changed the plug input as normal in the xbox itself like xbox1? :S

Not my decision to choose over PS3, my brother loves Halo so bought the Xbox360. It happened to be on sale as well. I don't play consoles only computer. Isn't PS3 mostly filled with sport games?

Well there are many sports games but others aswell, but their community is no where near as developed as XboxLive. About one in 20 people on ps3 network have a mic. as it needs to be bought seperate Smile also Xbox live offers alot more as in E3 they introuduced some mind blowing stuff one was stream 1080p movie to your xbox in seconds. But if you do not paly online that much Ps3 is probally the console for you Smile

PS3 is very overrated, it lost a ton of contracts for games, or it was delayed. Xbox360 is for hard gamers, like myself, rrich, dion. Only rrich, chose the ps3. Yes, he went the bad way. Razz

I bet it has something with defective Xbox power cords back in 2005, so MS placed adapter instead.
But I think that adapter isn't a problem. Problem is how big it is. Smile

Keep in mind that all of these tips work equally well for all electronics.

I would not expect the power supply itself to make the xbox warmer simply by leaving it laying around..

very good entry, thanks.

why does this happen again? >.>

I think it is the power supply and the lack of fans..

Bloomin 360s always break. All of my friends 360s have broken at least once...mines survived for a year now. Not look forward to the red ring! lol
