Was playing on Karkand just a few minutes ago, and noticed the commander on my team was doing an interesting tactic (a few people were raising hell about it too).
Our commander would call an artillery strike, resign, then get 1,2,3++ or how many ever kills he got each strike. You get more points for the artillery kills when you aren't commander, and defense points/etc. Then, apply for commander again right away, usually no one was applying to compete against him, and repeat. In 3 rounds, I saw the commander getting gold/silver medals each time.
Hopefully in 1.03 they'll make it so you can't re-apply to be Commander within a certain time of resigning...
