Posted: 09/22/04 - 18:17 Post subject: Command Prompt Programs?
|
|
|
I was wondering if there were any command prompt programs out there that people used and liked ..
I went to google and theres a lot of weird shit out there but it all looks like garbage. ..
what I am looking for is basically something that is, or works like the command prompt in windows but with a better user interface (able to copy and paste without going through b******t .. easy access .. hell maybe even a prettier window)
if anyone uses any programs like this and thinks they are really good and not just some s****y freeware Programmer Bob made that f***s up windows .. please to be posting
thank you in advance

Start
Run
CMD
Cut/Paste works fine on mine if I use a mouse instaed of CTRL+ I think I have some extra MS Software though from a few years ago, maybe thats why. On my server its the old school way still. I will see if I can find out what I have and get you a copy if I can. What version of Windows are you using?

2: ipconfig
3: right click the top left of the window > edit > select all
4: select IP address (MAKE SURE YOU DONT DESELECT AFTER OR DURING or you have to go back to step 3)
5: right click the top left of the window > edit > copy

Well I tried =\ Have you installed the PowerToys? I think there's some tweaking features for the command prompt as part of that package. Its going to be hard to find something that acts like the command prompt but not be itself....

cygwin installer?
thats inside the cygwin command prompt somehow?
