heh nice but if I was going or on vacation I would feel the same way, what exactly would you want a 50 year old Canadian do? If our Prime Minister said that and someone who actually had pull that would be different Smile

If that was one of our leader's response maybe I would feel differently, not just a politician Wink

Far from the chaos, in the sun-drenched islands of the Caribbean, leaders worried war would keep tourists away and crush economies. But on a white-sand beach in Barbados, Guthier Gilbert, 50, of Montreal wasn’t concerned.
“If they declare war,” he said, “I don’t think it will affect my vacation.”

It's like Vio said, what do you expect? There are cough syrups with more killing power than the Canadian army. The people don't even have respect for their own government except when they try to pull stunts to make it seem like they make a difference in the world. Let's face it, the entire future of Canada is to comfortably live as that "other" country in North America, shipping us lumber and enjoying vacations in London.

Not true Minion,

Most of the current Canadian's forces are in other countries doing peace mission,

Most of our poppulation is against the war and think that Bush is a moron.

Our prime minister is currently doing an hell of a good job.

He took the best position, he wont suport the US, but yet again something has to be done but he wish that the US would have decided about that with all the rest of the world.

Basicly, my country is a country of peace we dont see a threat in Saddam and we do beleive that taking care of your shit is the best way to avoid problems,

All you did was prove my point.

No one threatens Canada because Canada amounts to virtually nothing. It's not a global power. It's "that place above the U.S." Because of the fact that Canada does nothing, amounts to nothing, and is nothing, they can afford to be a "peaceful nation" by simply sitting on their asses and visiting their favorite vacation spots.

Correct violence is not a regular part of our every day lives and the last resort in most cases. And damn proud to be living in a country that works with Peace in mind first and foremost

This was a pretty sad comment to say the least, but if Canada was in fact nothing, the US would also be missing out on a hell of a lot that comes through Canada, stop looking at the world revolving around war and get a clue

And what is your description of life? Running around with a gun in your hand? If so why aren't you out there defending your country that you speak so proudly of revolving around war?

A hell of a lot that comes through Canada? The lumber?

Don't worry, it will be at least another 100 years before you've cut down all the forests and totally outlived your usefulness as a country.

Who said I thought proudly of war? You're dramatically confused here. I don't give a shit about Sadam or the war.

I don't like the U.S.

American democracy is a process in which the country slowly f***s itself over by breeding stupid people and allowing them to vote.

As opposed to the really important allies that Bush keeps mentioning as being so important to the effort... like... Bulgaria.

LOL. According to your logic then, the purpose of the US is as a place where illegal Mexican immigrants can get jobs and benefits. Well, at least there are enough Mexicans still in Mexico that you'll have your usefullness for some time.

Uber.

What question?

And it's the only export that matters.

Canada is essentially the U.S. with fewer people and no political power.

I'd like to live a relaxing carefree life. Which is one of the reasons why I intend to move to Canada in the future. Depending on how things go I may end up applying for citizenship and buying a home. If all goes well though I'll move to Japan and become a famous hentai manga artist and make my living drawing pictures of early teens getting raped by gigantic tentacle/c**k monsters.

I like Canada. I just think it's hillarious that Canadians are always trying to make it seem like they actually matter.

Ahhh next question is where exactly did a Canadian around here even remotely say anything about mattering war wise which is what you are referring too...... And realistically all that matters is living that life you want which is what we do for the most part or what Canadian's live for - so why the slamming of that type of lifestyle? I am not bitter just curious as to why in one sentence you are slaming Canadian's for that lifestyle and then next words saying that is also what you want out of life?

Where was I slamming canadian lifestyle? Because I called it the life of a tool? Big deal.

Some people accept how things are, other people just deny it and take offense until they're blue in the face.

Who interjected anything about Canada and peace? You did. Scroll up. All I did was get the ball rolling by making fun of Maelstrom. Typical Canadians figure since they're too weak to actually do anything, they'll just parade around claiming they're big supporters of peace. It's fascinating really.

"We don't have a big army because we're peaceful"

Sure! I'm sure that's exactly it!

ahhh f**k Minion you don't make any sense at all

we don't spend millions on an army for many reasons, simply put we don't have the masses of people like you do in the US to have remotely a strong army, the Army we do have has helped out the US each and every time except for the current.

If you think Canada isn't a peaceful country first and foremost you truly should do some homework as to what politically Canada is about and it is 99.9% about peace keeping and 99.9% of the missions Canada does is just that.

What gets me most about American's is how strong your Army is compared to say canada or even Australia if it matters, doesn't make any difference who - the population of the US is MASSIVE compared to these other countries and is primarily what has to do with the Armies being so strong in places like the US/China etc you get the point. Stop comparing a country with not even a quarter of a population to the US.

I came on vacation in Toronto and never left, Canada owns, I love the laid-back atmosphere, even in a city like Toronto people are nice and sociable. It cost me a fortune to round up my application for citizinship, and it's not that easy without the right education, but there's no place I'd rather live =)
