Yea, but what if you buy WoW stress test thing, and later on tonight during a scheduled downtime you're out smoking a joint with your homies and you get the munchies? What then?!

I used ruyen's file planet account to download the client but I was in closed beta so I already have an account. I ran the blizzard downloader for about 3/4 a day and had 6 hours left, then I used FP and started downloading at 650 kb/sec and it's going to be done in like an hour and a half or so if my calculations are correct.

Yeah I would un-sign up if I could, this was a waste of money if they are planning on making me wait a couple days to get my key so I can finish downloading with 1 day to play before open beta.
It's kinda funny how they changed their frontpage from saying "Sign up and play today!" to "Sign-up for the Final Stress Test Here!" since you couldn't really sign up and play TODAY

downloading from file planet takes a short amount of time depending on your connection speed, the servers they have set up are sick...

When did you sign up for the stress test? I did it yesterday at about 6pm.

Got my key emailed to me from FP, started download last night. Signed up last night while it downloaded and created the account. Installed today and went to go play when I got home from school. Guess what? Account name and password dont work.. I called blizzard and the guy says that he will get back to me in a couple of hours with a solution... If this is the kind of SoE CS I can expect then I may not be playing WoW.

I finally got my key after a day and a half and its downloading at a whopping 70kbs, has about 9 hours to go.
Overall the service for the open beta has been just terrible compared to back when they did the stress test and everything went smoothly.
That sucks though Ruyen  , I hope they get it straightened out.

Every time that I had to deal with customer service in closed beta with Blizzard it was a very good experience. Other end of the spectrum from SoE.
